Scattering resonances are eigenvalue-like complex numbers associated to Schrodinger operators on $\mathbb{R}^n$ for odd $n$. In this talk we will see how (1) they arise as the poles of the meromorphic continuation of the corresponding resolvent families and (2) they govern the time evolution of solutions to the associated wave equation.
