Celebrate SpringFest at MIT – May 2 & 3

 

SpringFest is MIT’s largest musical event, organized by the Student Events Board (SEB) with the supervision of the Student Organizations, Leadership and Engagement Office (SOLE) within the Division of Student Life.

The two-day celebration brings together thousands of students, faculty, staff, and guests for music, food, games, and performances—highlighting MIT’s culture of creativity, connection, and community.

 

Friday, May 2 | 5–8 PM – SpringFest Carnival

  • Location: Johnson Ice Rink
  • Free and open to the entire MIT community.
  • Attractions include a petting zoo (featuring a baby goat named Buttercup), inflatable games, and popular food trucks such as Daddy’s Fried Dough and Cookie Monstah.
  • A playful and welcoming event for all ages.

 

Saturday, May 3 | 7–10 PM – SpringFest Concert (Doors open at 6:30 PM)

  • Location: DAPER Briggs Field A
  • Open to the public; tickets available at Buy Your Ticket Now

  • Performances by student bands Juno and The Deuce, and MIT DJs, capped off by headliner Dayglow, an alternative indie artist known for upbeat, nostalgic tracks.
  • Attractions include “The Dam” arc structure, glow sticks, beach balls, and SEB giveaways (t-shirts, hats, and more).

 

SpringFest reflects the best of MIT’s spirit—creativity, playfulness, and community—and provides opportunities for all to gather and enjoy the vibrancy of student life.
