Sustainability Connect 2024

Thursday, February 08, 2024 at 9:00am to 3:00pm

Building E52, 7th Floor
50 MEMORIAL DR, Cambridge, MA 02142

Sustainability Connect is an immersive forum designed to provide an engaging glimpse into MIT’s climate and sustainability commitments that actively shape and transform our campus.

At this year’s Sustainability Connect, attendees will get an exclusive inside look at the many impressive initiatives being crafted and executed across MIT. Attendees are empowered to engage with the forward-thinking minds behind this groundbreaking work—our dedicated staff, faculty, and researchers. The forum is a chance to not only listen and learn but to be an active part of the conversation.

The morning session is designed around MIT's Fast Forward Plan for Climate Action, providing expert insight and discussion as to how MIT plans to decarbonize the campus. From reimagining food systems to eliminating waste, accounting for Scope 3 emissions, and even measuring the profound impacts of a changing climate on our campus, every facet of MIT’s approach has exponential impacts for campus and beyond.

In addition to our dynamic morning session, we will be hosting a special afternoon panel on climate coverage in the media. This panel will feature climate reporters, science writers, and communications researchers who debate and dialogue around engaging and informing audiences to better work together in understanding and addressing climate change.
