The Forty-Year-Old Version
Film screening zoom: 96249216669
The Forty-Year-Old Version is written, directed, and produced by Radha Blank, in her feature directorial debut.
Radha is a down-on-her-luck NY playwright, who is desperate for a breakthrough before 40. Reinventing herself as rapper RadhaMUSPrime, she vacillates between the worlds of Hip Hop and theater in order to find her true voice.
You can watch on your own time on Netflix, or join this screening prior to the panel!
Each year in March, the GCWS (Consortium for Graduate Studies in Gender, Culture, Women & Sexuality) hosts a film festival, Women Take the Reel (WTTR), highlighting films directed by women on issues related to gender, race, class, and sexuality studies. This year, partnering schools are collaborating to screen just two films virtually. You can watch the film anytime on your own, or join a screening. Either way, all are welcome to join the panels.
The panel for this film will be Mon March 22nd at 4:30pm. Please RSVP.
