DESCRIPTION:Please join the MIT Climate Nucleus and the Environmental Solut
 ions Initiative (ESI) for an evening of celebrating and exploring environm
 ental and climate justice work at MIT. \n\nThe event will start by highlig
 hting the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research's (CEEPR) Ro
 osevelt Project and the ESI's newly launched Climate Justice Program. \n\n
 Next\, we will hear from a special virtual guest\, Jay Julius\, former Lum
 mi tribal chairman and President of Se'Si'Le. Jay will discuss the importa
 nt work of Se’Si’Le in ensuring ancestral knowledge informs climate ju
 stice conversations across the globe. He will also introduce an exciting n
 ew partnership between ESI and Se’Si’Le and their shared vision for fu
 ture collaboration.    \n\nAn interactive discussion session with the audi
 ence will follow presentations from the program leaders. We will conclude 
 with a reception for all guests. Small bites and refreshments will be avai
 lable.\n\nThe event is the first of many under the Climate Nucleus’s Ind
 ependent Activities Period (IAP) grant funding series\, “The Imperative 
 of Justice.” The MIT Climate Nucleus is the faculty-led\, Institute-wide
  committee established under Fast Forward: MIT’s Climate Action Plan for
  the Decade to manage the plan’s implementation. One priority theme of t
 he Fast Forward plan is “the imperative of justice.”\n\nThe event is o
