  view the program\n\nAbout the Performer\n\nTheresa Caso-McHugh is a fourt
 h-year undergraduate at MIT studying music and biology. They have been sin
 ging for their entire life and it is their greatest passion. They began st
 udying music earnestly in the 5th grade when they joined the New Jersey Co
 nservatory Advanced Choir. After their director Ford Foster recognized a p
 articular talent in them\, he invited them to sing with the adult Chamber 
 and Symphonic Choirs\, as well as encouraged them to begin studying voice 
 with C. Paige Porter\, which they did. They continued to sing with the con
 servatory and study with Ms. Porter until they entered high school\, at wh
 ich point they began involvement with their school’s Madrigal and Chambe
 r Choirs\, as well as the musical theater program\, for which they were ca
 st in numerous lead and supporting roles throughout their time there. It w
 as also at this point that they began studying with Hanne Dollase\, who th
 ey continued to study with until graduating in 2019. In their junior year 
 of high school\, they were accepted to participate in the New Jersey All S
 tate Choir Festival as a member of the soprano section. In their senior ye
 ar\, they were again accepted to the festival\, where they were ranked the
  second Soprano I. Through this\, they competed for and won the 2018 New J
 ersey Governor’s Award in Vocal Performance.\n\nSince coming to MIT\, th
 ey have been involved throughout the music department. They are an enthusi
 astic member of the MIT Chamber Choir. They are invited every semester as 
 a guest vocalist to 21M.011: Introduction to Western Music. They have been
  involved in the Emerson/Harris Program since their freshman year as a sch
 olar and are delighted to have been honored with a fellowship for the seco
 nd time this year. Since coming to MIT and joining the Emerson program\, t
 hey have been studying with Dr. Kerry Deal\, who they would like to sincer
 ely thank for their tutelage\, guidance\, and encouragement. They would al
 so like to sincerely thank Dr. Mi-Eun Kim for her coaching\, guidance\, an
 d positively brilliant piano collaboration.\n\nHealth Policy\n\nAs of Marc
