DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n\nIn anticipation of Mercury’s upcoming tra

pass directly in front of the sun on November 11 and will be observable th
rough telescopes with solar filters as a small black dot crossing the face
of the sun. The next transit of mercury won't be seen again until 2032!\n
\nThis event is also sponsored by MIT-TESS\, observe@mit\, and AstroGazers
.\n\nEAPS and the MIT Wallace Observatory will also be hosting a simult
aneous event during the transit on November 11\, including in-person viewi
ng through telescopes at MIT and live broadcasting of Mercury passing in f
ront of the Sun from the Wallace Observatory. See the separate event listi
