The MIT Libraries and the Technology Licensing Office will review the best tools for this type of research, especially in the areas of patents and market research. Nick Albaugh, Management and Social Sciences Librarian for Innovation & Entrepreneurship from MIT Libraries, and Jonathan Hromi, Intellectual Property Officer from MIT TLO, will discuss the following topics:
- The difference between prior art and market searching
- How patent searching can inform market analysis
- Tools to use to create a comprehensive commercialization plan
You'll also see a sample market analysis based on AI technology.
