 his talk\, Jaret Vadera will discuss key arcs\, propositions\, and questio
 ns guiding his transdisciplinary practice. Vadera’s work explores how di
 fferent technologies shape and control the ways that we see the world arou
 nd and within us. He hacks\, reconfigures\, and reimagines images – that
  commonly serve as proof\, document\, or evidence – to reveal embedded i
 deologies hidden in plain sight\, and to open up other spaces\, and new na
 rratives.​\n\nJaret Vadera is a transdisciplinary artist whose work exam
 ines how images colonize the ways that we see the worlds around and within
  us. Vadera hacks different visual systems\, and reconfigures them to open
  up parallel ways of seeing. His work is influenced by decolonial theory\,
  science fiction\, and the study of impossible objects. In parallel\, Vade
 ra has worked as a curator\, organizer\, and writer on projects that focus
  on art as a catalyst for cultural change. Jaret Vadera lives and works be
 tween Canada\, the US\, and India\; and is currently based in Brooklyn.\n\
