About this Event
Free EventMany of you may be experiencing the sensation of being uprooted, the feeling of being removed from your native place. How do you reestablish roots and grow in a new environment? Through a structured coaching exercise called "The Tree of Life", you will explore the changes you are experiencing as well as the strengths and values you have carried with you.
You can prepare for this meeting by taking the VIA Character Strength Assessment. Bring your results to the meeting!
Please note: Doors open at 3 p.m. and our activity begins promptly at 3:15 p.m.
From September to December and February to May, these weekly meetings are organized by MIT Spouses & Partners Connect staff and volunteers for the spouses and partners of MIT students, scholars, staff and faculty. Each meeting revolves around a specific topic or activity. We invite speakers from campus, the community or our group to share their expertise; we visit interesting places in Boston; we socialize around art and fitness. Babies and children are welcome in our meetings, and free optional childcare (sponsored by Office of Graduate Education) is available close by during our meetings.
