In this hands-on workshop, artist and interaction designer Andreas Refsgaard will demonstrate how to use machine learning algorithms in playful and poetic ways. Participants will collect data and train their own image classifier, generate algorithmic poetry, and lots more!

Open to anyone in the MIT community; registration is required. This workshop is suitable for people with no prior experience with code or machine learning, who are interested in getting acquainted with the potential these technologies hold.

Refsgaard is a 2022-23 visiting artist at the MIT Center for Art, Science & Technology (CAST). His projects Doodle Toons and Sounds from the Mouth will be on view at Lewis Music Library (14E-109) September 26-December 20, 2022.
