Writing and Requesting Effective Reference Letters: A Workshop for Grad Students and Postdocs

If you have recently been asked to write a reference letter or need one, this workshop is for you. By writing letters for someone else, we have an immense power to influence others and our field at large. So how do we handle these processes and what are the best practices? At this hands-on workshop for graduate students and postdocs, you will learn what effective letters of reference have in common, and how to navigate the letter of reference process as a letter writer and a letter requester. Come prepared to learn and practice writing a reference letter for your wonderful students, your colleagues, or yourself!
